Long Form
I'm a 23 year-old freelance web & graphics designer from Long Island, NY. I'm currently living in Rehoboth Beach, DE with my sweetheart Sean and my puppy Bella.
I have over 10 years of experience with the Internet. I started with AOL Pagebuilder, moved to Geocities, purchased my own domain (glassed-tears.net) and have steadily improved my skills year after year.
My focus for design has always been a clean-line and minimalist template. I design only with XHTML and CSS valid web standards. I've created over 15,000 templates over the course of the last 5 years alone. Clients have repeatedly come back due to my attention to detail and affordable pricing. I've worked on corporate websites for lawfirms and fortune 500 companies. I've also worked on quite a few non-profit organizations and I have more weblog and personal templates in my archives than anyone I know (14,000 and growing).
I have a strong background with numerous main stream scripts such as:
They include:
I have no formal training with programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. However, I've been using these programs for so long that I can easily work my way around them to get the effects both me and my clients are looking for. A tutorial from time to time certainly helps, but even those with formal training in these programs relay on tutorials from time to time depending on the effect they're looking for.
While I'm confident that I can accomplish any job being thrown my way, I also would like to earn my Bachelors in Web Technology so that I have the paperwork to prove my 10-year dedication to the Internet. I'm hoping to enroll in College sometime over the course of the next year. My focus will be in multimedia so I can add Flash to my background, the only aspect of web design that I haven't worked with.
My rate-of-pay is based on a few different factors. I can either work on an hourly basis for no less than $13.00 - $15.00 hr. or I can work on a contracted flat-rate basis which includes a non-refundable 20% down payment before any work is started. My pricing range depends on the type of website I'm designing for you. Average rates can range from $50 to $5,000 per project depending on it's size and type.
I'm sure I've listed everything that a potential employer would need to know. However, I'm sure there's something I've left out. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
